Position Summary The Grants & Communications Manager secures philanthropic support and elevates the organization's visibility. This role leads grant research, proposal development, and reporting, while supporting strategic communications that highlight organizational impact to donors, partners, residents, and the broader community. Key Responsibilities Grant Research & Writing Identify and research funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources Develop high‑quality letters of inquiry, proposals, and supporting materials Collaborate with program and finance staff to gather data and documentation Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar to ensure timely submissions Grant Management & Reporting Support post‑award administration, including tracking requirements, deliverables, budgets, and compliance Prepare interim and final reports detailing progress and outcomes Maintain organized electronic and paper grant files Assist with stewardship activities such as acknowledgements and donor updates Communications & Outreach Write and edit content for newsletters, website updates, social media, impact stories, press releases, and annual reports Contribute to messaging that communicates mission, initiatives, partnerships, and outcomes Support communications with residents, stakeholders, partners, and media Ensure consistent branding and strategic messaging across channels Administrative & Organizational Support Assist the Executive Director with development and communications tasks, including board coordination Track outcomes, metrics, and stories demonstrating program impact Participate in planning meetings and contribute to organizational strategies Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience 2-4 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, communications, or related nonprofit roles Strong writing, research, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain organized documentation Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with new software tools Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate professionally with partners Preferred Skills & Experience Experience in affordable housing, community development, or social services Familiarity with government grant processes and compliance Knowledge of nonprofit budgeting, evaluation, and outcome measurement Experience creating content for newsletters, websites, or social media Ability to translate complex information into accessible narratives Graphic design or digital communications skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) Bilingual or multilingual abilities, especiallySpanish or Creole Pay:
