Role Summary As a Member Engagement Facilitator, you deliver Girl Scout programming to girls who may face barriers to joining a volunteer-led troop. You also help expand membership and connect families to council opportunities in Cedar Rapids, IA. Key responsibilities include delivering age-appropriate program sessions, supporting youth and adult recruitment efforts, representing Girl Scouts at local community events, and sharing clear information on council programs and resources.

Typical Workday Your day as a Member Engagement Facilitator is planned around daytime programming and community touchpoints. You may start by confirming a school or partner-site schedule, setting up materials, and welcoming girls into a supportive, structured session. Between activities, you'll track attendance and notes, then shift to brief conversations with caregivers about next steps and participation options. Some days include a community event where you share information, answer questions, and help families understand how to get involved. You'll wrap up by organizing supplies, updating records, and preparing for the next visit—keeping your time within a 10-20 hour weekly schedule.
