Position Purpose:
T he Strategic Partnerships Associate will report to the Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations. This new position will play a key role in expanding the organization's corporate partnerships program, strengthening existing donor relationships, and creating new opportunities for corporate engagement. The Associate will manage a portfolio and support broader efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate donors. A particular focus will be leading sponsorship efforts for the annual Sinai Chicago Golf Outing. The Associate will also identify and develop strategic opportunities for in-kind support, corporate engagement, matching gifts, and other partnerships that advance the organization's mission. Success in this role will require strong relationship-building, organization, follow-through, and the ability to identify opportunities that contribute to the continued growth and development of Sinai's corporate partnerships program. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of the greater Chicagoland business community, including corporate giving programs, influential leaders, and emerging sources of institutional funding. This is a hybrid in-office/remote position; our offices are located on the Mount Sinai Hospital campus.
Key Job Activities:
Portfolio Management and Pipeline Growth (50%) Manages a portfolio of corporate donors and sponsors, with responsibility for developing and executing individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies. Supports the Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations in maintaining strong corporate relationships by coordinating communications, donor touch points, recognition, and stewardship activities. I dentifies and researches prospective corporate donors, sponsors, and partners based on mission alignment, existing relationships, giving history, and community presence. Supports outreach, qualification, and cultivation of new corporate prospects and assists in developing strategies to grow the corporate pipeline. Event Sponsorships (25%) Serves as the Development Department lead for sponsorships associated with the Sinai Chicago Golf Outing and other fundraising events. Identifies and solicits event sponsors; coordinates and assists Sinai clinical and executive leadership in soliciting their networks for event sponsorships. Manages sponsorships from initial outreach through fulfillment and post-event stewardship; Coordinates internally to ensure sponsor benefits, recognition, and other commitments are accurately tracked and fulfilled. Develops post-event stewardship communications and identifies opportunities to renew and increase sponsorships in subsequent years. Corporate Engagement (15%) Identifies and cultivates opportunities for in-kind donations, matching gifts, corporate volunteer days, employee engagement, and other strategic partnerships. Coordinates with internal teams to develop and execute meaningful engagement opportunities aligned with organizational needs and partner interests. Maintains oversight of in-kind contributions and corporate engagement activities and ensures appropriate acknowledgment and stewardship. Development Operations (10%) Maintains accurate and timely records of corporate relationships, interactions, commitments, and opportunities in the organization's donor database (Little Green Light). Works with the Grant Writer to prepare proposals, correspondence, reports, and other materials to support corporate fundraising and stewardship. Collaborates with Development and other Sinai departments (Marketing and Communications, clinical and program teams, executive leadership) to ensure a coordinated and high-quality donor experience. Ensures that all communications are compliant with state and federal (HIPAA) privacy regulations. Participates in departmental work groups as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of fundraising experience, including with corporate donors Experience using a donor database/CRM to maintain accurate donor records and track relationship activities. Success as a collaborative and effective team member with the ability to partner with senior development staff, clinical and program leadership, and diverse community partners. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships, take initiative, set priorities and handle multiple projects efficiently and effectively. A proven commitment to and knowledge of fundraising principles and practices.
