Job Description

Goddard Public Schools has an opening for a Community Relations Specialist. This position serves both the Goddard Public Schools Communications Department and the Goddard Education Foundation , supporting strategic communications, community engagement, marketing, fundraising, and partnership development. The successful candidate will help tell the story of Goddard Public Schools while building relationships that strengthen our schools and create opportunities for students and staff. Responsibilities may include developing engaging content for print, digital, and social media; photography and videography; graphic design; coordinating community partnerships and events; supporting fundraising and donor stewardship efforts; managing marketing campaigns; assisting with district and Foundation communications; and collaborating with schools, businesses, and community organizations. Specific assignments will be based on the successful candidate's strengths, experience, and departmental needs. Qualified candidates should possess excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment. A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, nonprofit management, business, or a related field is preferred. Experience in communications, marketing, photography, videography, graphic design, fundraising, event planning, social media management, or community engagement is highly desirable.
