Are you passionate about student engagement and helping students develop a lifelong connection to their alma mater? Kansas State University Foundation is seeking a Volunteer Engagement Manager to serve as the advisor to Student Foundation (StuFo), a student-led organization dedicated to philanthropy, service, and leadership development. This student engagement role is ideal for a relationship-builder who thrives on mentoring students, leading programs, and creating meaningful experiences that inspire future volunteers, advocates, and donors. As the Volunteer Engagement Manager, you will provide guidance, accountability, and leadership support to Student Foundation members while developing programs and partnerships that advance student engagement across Kansas State University.
What You'll Do:
Serve as the primary advisor to Student Foundation, providing leadership, mentorship, guidance, and accountability to members. Lead student engagement strategies focused on recruitment, onboarding, training, member development, and succession planning. Collaborate with university and Foundation stakeholders to develop programs that strengthen philanthropy, volunteerism, and long-term connections to K-State. Support the planning, implementation, and assessment of volunteer initiatives while identifying new opportunities to enhance organizational impact. Participate in Student Foundation meetings, programs, and events, including occasional evening and weekend commitments, to ensure consistent support and successful execution of student engagement initiatives.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience in strategic planning, project management, program development, or related fields Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from concept through completion while balancing multiple priorities Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and deliver results in a professional, quality-driven environment Valid motor vehicle operator's license with an acceptable driving record
