Job Description

The Senior Project Manager
  • Community and Public Relations leads the development and execution of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies for all Operations functions under the COO.
This role ensures clear, consistent, and strategic communication across maintenance, capital projects, transportation, facilities planning and emergency management initiatives. The position serves as a cross-functional liaison, aligning internal teams and external stakeholders while maintaining clear boundaries from operational and technical decision-making. The role focuses on communication strategy, stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and project communication management to support effective district operations. Essential Functions Develop and execute communication plans aligned to Operations priorities. Coordinate messaging across platforms to support consistency and clarity. Draft stakeholder-facing materials including presentations, FAQs, and updates. Tailor communication for different audiences (school leaders, staff, families, community). Support communication for major projects, relocations, and operational changes. Support development and management of key partnerships aligned to Operations initiatives. Maintain relationships with community organizations, agencies, and partners. Coordinate feedback from external stakeholders to inform internal teams. Coordinate communication across academic, operational, and facilities teams. Gather and synthesize information to support aligned messaging. Support timing and sequencing of communications across initiatives. Maintain feedback loops between internal teams and stakeholders. Monitor stakeholder feedback and identify emerging concerns. Facilitate discussions between district and school leaders, families, and community members. Support resolution efforts by coordinating communication and providing clarity. Assist in planning and executing community engagement efforts. Coordinate communication for assigned capital and operational projects. Provide regular updates on project milestones, timelines, and impacts. Maintain communication tools such as FAQs and project updates. Ensure stakeholders receive clear and relevant information. Provide communication support for media, crisis response, or sensitive issues when requested. Assist in drafting statements and coordinating messaging aligned to leadership direction. Provide meeting summaries when requested by leadership. Capture key decisions, action items, and communication implications. Focus on communication, engagement, and stakeholder coordination. Maximum Salary 170528.00 Minimum Salary 92186.00 Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, public relations, or project coordination. Demonstrated experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, or project coordination. Strong ability to translate complex operational information into clear messaging. Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including schools, families, and community organizations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and communication platforms. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in high-pressure environments.
