Position Summary:
Responsible for achieving established goals improving the Plan's Membership growth for all lines of business. The Community Engagement Specialist will promote the Plan's core values and services by implementing outreach activities in assigned area. The position is responsible for assisting the Plan in attracting and retaining membership in the Plan through efforts including building and maintaining relationships with community partners. This position requires travel to communities around the State of Michigan, including days in Flint, MI office as determined by leadership.
Qualifications:
Required:
Associate degree in business, health care or related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and two (2) years' experience in a community-focused outreach, marketing, or customer service position specific to health care. Valid state driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance coverage required and maintained throughout employment in this position. Must hold a valid Community Health Worker certification within 180 days of hire and maintain throughout employment in this position.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in business, health care or related field. Five (5) years' experience in a community-focused outreach, marketing, or customer service position specific to health care.
