We are seeking a creative, relationship-focused, and mission-driven professional to join our team as Director of Community Relations. This leadership role is responsible for advancing St. Ann's mission through strategic marketing, communications, fundraising, volunteer engagement, public relations, community outreach, and special events. Position Summary The Director of Community Relations serves as a key ambassador for St. Ann's and is responsible for strengthening community awareness, donor relationships, volunteer involvement, and organizational reputation. This individual will collaborate closely with leadership, staff, donors, volunteers, community partners, and the Carmelite Sisters to communicate the organization's mission, services, and impact.
What You'll Do:
Marketing, Communications & Brand Management Manage and update the St. Ann's website and social media platforms. Create engaging digital and print marketing materials, including brochures, advertisements, flyers, invitations, signage, and promotional content. Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and visual identity across all communications. Monitor digital engagement and identify opportunities to enhance online presence. Coordinate printing, inventory, and distribution of marketing materials. Fund Development & Donor Relations Coordinate annual fundraising appeals and donor communication campaigns. Maintain donor records and acknowledgments through DonorPerfect. Assist with donor cultivation, stewardship, memorial giving, and fundraising initiatives. Prepare fundraising reports and maintain confidentiality of donor information. Build meaningful relationships with current and prospective supporters. Volunteer Program Management Serve as the primary contact for volunteer recruitment and engagement. Coordinate volunteer onboarding, training, screening, and record maintenance. Collaborate with departments to match volunteers with meaningful opportunities. Organize volunteer recognition and appreciation activities. Community Engagement & Public Relations Represent St. Ann's at community events, networking opportunities, expos, and outreach programs. Develop relationships with local organizations, businesses, educational institutions, faith communities, and referral partners. Identify and coordinate media opportunities, press releases, and community awareness initiatives. Collaborate with leadership on sensitive communications and public relations matters. Events & Organizational Engagement Plan and coordinate organizational events, donor events, community programs, open houses, celebrations, and appreciation activities. Manage event logistics, communications, vendors, and promotional materials. Ensure events reflect the mission, values, and traditions of St. Ann's. Required Qualifications Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, editing, and proofreading skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Nonprofit Management, Community Relations, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience in marketing, communications, public relations, fundraising, community relations, or nonprofit development. Experience managing social media and creating digital content. Experience with website management platforms, preferably Wix. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software. Experience with donor management software, preferably DonorPerfect. Experience coordinating volunteers, fundraising campaigns, community outreach, or special events. Experience writing press releases and working with media outlets. Experience in senior living, healthcare, nonprofit, faith-based, or mission-driven organizations is a plus. Why Join St. Ann's?
