Job Description

Advancement Officer Job Summary Benjamin's Hope is seeking a relationship-driven and mission-focused Advancement Officer to support fundraising and community engagement efforts that secure the philanthropic resources, relationships, and partnerships needed to sustain and expand its mission. This position will play an important role in donor cultivation, stewardship, events, grants, community engagement, and advancement initiatives while serving as a positive ambassador for Benjamin's Hope. The Advancement Officer will work closely with organizational leadership, the Board of Directors, donors, volunteers, churches, foundations, businesses, and community partners to cultivate a strong culture of philanthropy and expand the organization's impact. Advancement Officer Responsibilities Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, churches, and community partners through consistent and authentic communication. Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects while identifying opportunities to increase engagement and philanthropic support. Support fundraising strategies including major gifts, annual giving, campaigns, grants, planned giving, and legacy opportunities. Develop compelling donor communications, stories, cases for support, proposals, and stewardship materials. Research grant opportunities and support grant development, including proposals, budgets, reporting, compliance, and funder stewardship. Coordinate and support fundraising events and community engagement activities that strengthen relationships and advance organizational goals. Maintain accurate donor records and utilize advancement systems to track relationships, activity, solicitations, and results. Build relationships with churches, businesses, community organizations, and volunteers to expand awareness and involvement with Benjamin's Hope. Partner with organizational leadership and Board members to support fundraising priorities and donor engagement. Represent Benjamin's Hope professionally and authentically throughout the community. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Schedule & Compensation Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends for events and donor engagement.

Annual salary based on experience Advancement Officer Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations or other related field or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated experience in fundraising, development, advancement, sales, relationship management, or a related field. Proven ability to cultivate and maintain meaningful donor, client, or community relationships. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively tell stories and communicate organizational impact. Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently. Experience with donor databases, CRM systems, or other relationship-management technology. Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, integrity, and emotional intelligence. Nonprofit development or advancement experience preferred. Experience with major gifts, grants, planned giving, fundraising events, or community partnerships preferred. Commitment to the Christian mission, values, and culture of Benjamin's Hope. Demonstrated compassion and respect for individuals of all abilities and a desire to advance a culture of belonging, dignity, and purpose. Experience and/or knowledge about Medicaid funding preferred. We value your privacy!
