Job Description
Position SummaryThe Communications Director helps Grace Community Church communicate clearly, consistently, and creatively across its primary channels. This role oversees church-wide communication strategy, content creation, digital platforms, social media, and brand consistency - helping people understand what God is doing and take their next step toward Jesus. Working with pastoral leadership and ministry staff, the Director helps establish communication priorities and provides creative strategy and execution for church-wide communication. Role & Responsibilities Communications Communicate Grace's mission, vision, and values consistently through messaging and communications. Help ensure the church provides a clear and welcoming voice and digital experience Develop and maintain a multi-channel communications strategy and calendar. Coordinate communication for church-wide initiatives, campaigns, sermon series, and major events. Manage communication requests and help determine appropriate timing, messaging, and communication channels. Develop templates, strategies, and systems that help ministries communicate consistently. Maintain communication-related software, systems, platforms, and files. Track basic communication effectiveness and make improvements as needed. Develop, train, and coordinate with staff and volunteers on communication strategy and calendar, as needed Media & Design Develop and maintain templates and brand standards for all ministry graphics and collaborate with ministry leaders to ensure brand consistency across ministries Create graphics and visual content for sermon series, major events, announcements, digital and print communications, church-wide initiatives, and all ministry footprints Maintain accurate and current website and app content. Oversee a sustainable social media strategy and content calendar. Maintain communication and design software, systems, and platforms (includes but not limited to Mailchimp, Planning Center Online , Communicate.app, Clearstream, Adobe Creative Suite, META business suite, Google Business Suite, Wix Studio, etc.) Gather and share stories, photos, and videos that communicate the life and mission of the church. Coordinate with staff and volunteers for projects including photography, video, and social media.
