Job Description

The Member & Community Engagement Director provides strategic leadership for membership growth, member engagement, community partnerships, marketing collaboration, volunteer engagement, and philanthropic initiatives that advance the YMCA's mission. This position is responsible for creating exceptional member experiences while expanding the YMCA's visibility and impact throughout the community. The Director oversees membership operations, leads community outreach efforts, develops relationships with businesses, schools, healthcare organizations, civic groups, donors, and government agencies, and plays a key leadership role in fundraising and the Annual Campaign. This individual serves as a visible ambassador for the YMCA, promoting its mission and strengthening community partnerships that enhance organizational sustainability.
Qualifications:
Previous customer service, sales, or related experience; ability to multitask in person and within programs on a computer. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent experience At least two years of related experience required Commitment of supporting principles of equal opportunity and affirmative action to achieve a diverse work environment.
