Job Description
The Mansfield Center invites applications for a Manager of Events, Marketing and Communications. The Mansfield Center is seeking a communications professional who is proficient at understanding and addressing a variety of target audiences with the demonstrated ability to adjust messaging accordingly. The Manager of Events, Marketing and Communications works closely with the leadership team and external partners to implement a coordinated strategy for engaging with Center stakeholders. This position reports to the deputy director of the Mansfield Center with a dotted reported line to the senior director of strategic communications within the institutional marketing communications sector. Leads strategic communications and marketing initiatives in collaboration with University Marketing & Communications, Executive Leadership, and stakeholders to align with institutional priorities. Develops communications content including press releases, newsletters, impact reports, web content, and materials that highlight the Center's work. Oversees media relations and audience engagement strategies to increase awareness and share the Center's impact. Manages digital communications and social media platforms, including website content, content calendars, analytics, and performance improvements. Leads event marketing and communications efforts, including promotion, webpages, registration systems, and branded materials. Develops digital marketing campaigns, including HubSpot strategies, email outreach, and engagement initiatives. Oversees website content and digital presence to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with institutional standards. Creates marketing materials and supports stakeholder outreach through design, photography coordination, and community partnerships. Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including storytelling and editing abilities. Experience effectively managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated communications, marketing, social media, and public relations campaigns. Experience planning and promoting events, including marketing, registration, and stakeholder communications. Proficiency with social media platforms, website content management systems, email marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot), and communications analytics. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and content platforms such as SharePoint. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising, training, and mentoring staff. Experience creating print and digital marketing materials using graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva. Experience working in higher education or international affairs communications.
