Job Description

Marketing Communications Manager Radius Gallery - 2026 Reports to:
Owners Location:
Missoula MT Position Overview:
Radius Gallery is seeking a creative, forward-thinking Marketing Communications Manager to join our small but mighty team. We're looking for someone to lead our marketing and communications functions with the aim of boosting the gallery's visibility, enticing sales, and strengthening our connection with the community. If you love art, have strong writing skills, and bring solid marketing experience, we'd love to hear from you. The role is ideally full-time, but we're open to a .75 work schedule. Radius is a passionate, approachable, locally owned art business dedicated to showcasing the skills and sensibilities of extraordinary artists, connecting those artists to discerning collectors, and offering an energetic forum for discussing art and its vitality in the world today. Marketing Strategy and Execution As a mission-driven gallery, Radius is committed to building a lasting, sustainable arts economy in the region. We see the potential for major growth, but only if we carefully analyze, refine and extend our marketing strategies. A dedicated Marketing Communications Manager will spearhead the gallery's marketing functions, execute current strategies that work well, and also research, experiment with, and implement new strategies for the future. The ideal candidate will have grounding in standard marketing activities and concepts, but there's also room to trailblazer with your own creative and critical thinking. Communications and Branding Radius Gallery prides itself on not just showcasing great art, but coaxing our community to that art through clear, inviting communications. The Marketing Communication Manager will carry this torch forward, connecting with our current collector base and developing ways to bring new audiences to the gallery. You'll write, manage and develop Radius newsletters, campaign letters, ads, and other outreach materials. Using your skills as a writer, cultural observer, and arts advocate, you'll engage in compelling storytelling that speaks to art's capacity to expand our lives, personalize our homes, and strengthen creative communities. Data and Analytics Marketing initiatives, while fueled by creativity, instinct and measured experimentation, are best when they're informed by well-considered, meaningful metrics. Radius has a host of systems that collect intriguing data, and the Marketing Communications Manager will analyze that data to identify illuminating trends, opportunities and gaps in our understanding of audience. We're poised to learn what our data has to teach us, and looking for someone to help translate telling metrics into sound entrepreneurial decisions. Qualifications Success as Marketing Communications Manager will require a confidence that comes with experience; it's not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will readily leverage proven methods while also introducing new opportunities. The work environment is very team-oriented, so interacting well with others is critical. But we also expect each team member to take initiative and advance solutions independently. Ideally candidates will have a bachelor's degree (at minimum) as well as 3-5 years of real-world experience in marketing, administration and/or management. We'll train you to use our systems effectively and ground you in the gallery's best practices. We welcome non-traditional thinkers, optimists and idealists. Skills and Knowledge
  • Demonstrated management experience, preferably in marketing or development.
  • Demonstrated writing, editing, and nuanced storytelling skills for varied audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and real deadlines.
  • Comfortable proficiency with digital marketing tools, including social media platforms, email marketing software, and website management systems.
  • Graphic design experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) and Google Suite.
