Wayne CountryView is looking for a People & Community Relations Manager who loves connecting with people, building relationships, and making things happen. This is a unique opportunity that combines Human Resources and Marketing into one highly visible role. You'll help create an exceptional experience for our employees while also serving as a key ambassador for Wayne CountryView throughout Wayne and the surrounding communities. The next, you may be meeting with a hospital discharge planner, giving a family a tour of our community, attending a local event, or developing a new referral partnership. What You'll Do As our People & Community Relations Manager , you'll support two sides of our organization: the people who make Wayne CountryView a great place to work and the relationships that help make us a trusted healthcare resource in our community. People & Culture You'll help create a positive employee experience from recruitment through retention. Recruit and source qualified candidates through job boards, social media, networking, community partnerships, and other recruiting resources Screen applicants and coordinate interviews with department leaders Complete pre-employment requirements and background screening Coordinate new hire onboarding and lead employee orientation Serve as a resource for employees throughout their employment Partner with department leaders on employee engagement, development, retention, performance, and workplace concerns Maintain accurate personnel records and support compliance with applicable state and federal requirements Assist with employee recognition, communication, celebrations, and culture initiatives Identify opportunities to strengthen employee engagement and make Wayne CountryView an employer of choice in the community Build relationships with local schools, colleges, workforce organizations, and community partners to support recruiting efforts Process payroll accurately and according to established schedules Review employee timekeeping information and resolve discrepancies Admissions & Community Relations You'll play an active role in growing Wayne CountryView by developing relationships and creating an exceptional experience for prospective residents, families, and referral partners. Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, physicians, clinics, home health agencies, hospice providers, senior living communities, and other referral partners Conduct regular outreach to existing and prospective referral sources throughout Wayne and surrounding communities Generate new referral opportunities and strengthen existing referral relationships Serve as a responsive point of contact for referral partners, prospective residents, and families Monitor incoming referrals and help coordinate the admissions process with nursing and facility leadership Follow up promptly on leads, referrals, inquiries, and prospective admissions Coordinate and conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families Help families understand Wayne CountryView's services and determine whether our community may be the right fit for their needs Maintain communication with referral partners throughout the referral and admissions process Track referral activity, lead sources, admissions, and relationship-development efforts Participate in census and admissions discussions with facility leadership Represent Wayne CountryView at community events, networking opportunities, health fairs, chamber events, and other local activities Identify creative opportunities to increase awareness of Wayne CountryView's skilled nursing and assisted living services Support social media and other local marketing efforts by sharing resident activities, employee celebrations, facility events, and community involvement Promote Wayne CountryView as both a trusted healthcare provider and a great place to work What We're Looking For This position is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable working behind a computer, talking with employees, meeting a hospital case manager, giving a facility tour, or representing Wayne CountryView at a community event.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Healthcare Admissions, Marketing, Business Development, or a related field Healthcare, skilled nursing, assisted living, senior living, or healthcare marketing experience preferred Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Outgoing and comfortable networking with healthcare professionals and community partners Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organization and attention to detail Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments Comfortable initiating conversations and developing new professional relationships Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with community outreach and relationship development Experience with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems preferred Creative, proactive, and willing to identify new opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you Team-oriented mindset and a genuine desire to support employees, residents, families, and the greater Wayne community What Success Looks Like Success in this role isn't measured by paperwork alone.
