- Job Summary
- The Communications Manager supports and delivers clear, engaging employee communications that inform, connect and inspire our more than 50,000 team members.
This role blends strategy and execution, providing communications counsel and developing communications and experiences that connect employees to what matters most. The ideal candidate is an employee-focused communicator, strong storyteller, skilled presenter and relationship builder who brings enthusiasm and creativity to their work. They confidently engage with stakeholders, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality communications aligned with Baylor Scott & White's Mission, Vision and Values.
- Essential Functions of the Role
- + Supports the execution of communication strategies and plans developed in partnership with executive leaders and stakeholders to advance employee programs, System initiatives and organizational priorities.
+ Collaborates with cross-functional partners and subject matter experts to gather information, clarify objectives and develop compelling communications that effectively support business and employee needs.
+ Provides communications counsel to HR partners, leaders and stakeholders, recommending appropriate messaging, audiences, channels and timing.
+ Hosts and facilitates engaging activations and employee experiences that build pride, connection to our Mission and encourage participation.
+ Develops and manages content across internal communication channels, including email platforms, intranet, newsletters and other communication channels.
+ Monitors communication effectiveness and identifies opportunities to improve employee understanding, engagement and experience.
+ Manages multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Key Success Factors
- + Five or more years of communications experience, with an emphasis on employee communications, storytelling and audience engagement; ability to provide relevant work samples.
+ Ability to work collaboratively, independently and proactively while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
+ Strong storytelling, writing, editing and creative thinking skills, with the ability to develop communications in a variety of formats and styles.
+ Experience creating visual content to support communications and employee engagement.
+ Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency and quality.
+ Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage and build relationships with leaders, stakeholders and employees.
+ Proficiency with employee communication tools, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Engage.

- QUALIFICATIONS
- + EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification + EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience
- Preferred qualifications
- + Experience in employee, internal or organizational communications, preferably supporting team member experience or enterprise initiatives.
+ Experience partnering with leaders, subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and deliver communications.
+ Strong storytelling, writing, editing and creative thinking skills, with the ability to develop communications in a variety of formats and styles.
+ Creative thinker with the ability to develop fresh, engaging approaches to employee communications and experiences.
