Job Description

Position Summary The Resident Services Specialist works closely with property management to enhance the resident experience by coordinating community programs, resident engagement activities, food distribution services, and community resource connections. The position serves as a liaison between residents, property staff, community partners, and service providers while promoting housing stability, resident satisfaction, and a positive community environment. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResident Relations
  • Build positive relationships with residents and serve as a resource for community information and available services.
  • Welcome new residents and provide information regarding community programs, property resources, and resident services.
  • Respond to resident inquiries and assist with identifying appropriate community resources and support services.
  • Assist residents with accessing online services and locating community assistance programs.
  • Promote resident participation in community activities and events.
  • Maintain regular communication with residents to identify needs and opportunities for additional programming. Property Management Support
  • Relay resident concerns, maintenance issues, and service requests to appropriate team members.
  • Collaborate with Leasing, Maintenance, and Management staff to support resident retention and satisfaction initiatives.
  • Assist with resident outreach, community notices, and property-wide communications. Community Programs and Events
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate resident activities, workshops, educational programs, holiday events, gardening programs, and community gatherings.
  • Coordinate event setup, promotion, execution, and cleanup.
  • Create and distribute newsletters, flyers, calendars, and resident communications.
  • Maintain community bulletin boards and resident information displays.
  • Encourage resident involvement and build a strong sense of community. Food Pantry and Food Distribution Program Management
  • Coordinate onsite food pantry and food distribution programs in partnership with Food Bank of Northern Nevada (FBNN).
  • Manage food orders and inventory to ensure adequate supplies are available for scheduled distributions.
  • Pick up food orders from designated Food Bank of Northern Nevada locations and transport items to assigned properties as required.
  • Organize, store, and maintain food pantry inventory according to program requirements.
  • Maintain required records, reports, and documentation related to pantry operations and distributions.
  • Ensure compliance with FBNN requirements and applicable health and safety standards. Community Partnerships and Resources
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local organizations, service providers, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and community agencies.
  • Maintain a current directory of community resources and referral contacts.
  • Coordinate onsite services and resource opportunities for residents.
  • Identify opportunities to expand resident services and programming through community partnerships. Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation, programs, events, and services provided.
  • Prepare reports, activity summaries, and program documentation as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and records.
  • Utilize company software and Microsoft Office programs to complete administrative tasks.
  • Ensure assigned documentation is completed accurately and timely. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
  • Ability to organize multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, office administration, community outreach, property management, or resident services is preferred but not required.

Pay:
From $19.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
