Full-Time | Onsite Lead the Communications Systems a Hospital Depends On 24/7 We're seeking an experienced Director of Telecommunications to lead the strategy, modernization and reliability of mission-critical communications infrastructure across a healthcare system. This is not a general IT Director or call-center Director position. We're looking for a telecommunications leader with strong hospital/healthcare experience who understands how communications technology directly supports patient care and emergency response. What You'll Lead Cisco Unified Communications / enterprise voice Ascom and Vocera clinical communications Nurse Call integrations Emergency code dispatch and mass notification Paging and two-way radio systems DAS and in-building cellular/wireless High-availability, redundancy and disaster recovery Hospital switchboard/call-center operations Telecom vendors, carriers, contracts and SLAs Operating and capital budgets Telecommunications modernization initiatives Staff leadership and development You'll oversee systems supporting Code Blue, Rapid Response, emergency notifications and other critical hospital communications , making 24/7 reliability essential. What We're Looking For 7-10 years of progressive telecommunications experience 3-5 years of senior healthcare leadership experience Enterprise-level hospital/health-system communications experience Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or related field Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Experience with Ascom, Vocera or comparable clinical communications platforms Knowledge of Nurse Call, paging and emergency communications Strong understanding of high-availability infrastructure and business continuity Leadership experience with vendors, budgets and technical teams Experience with DAS, in-building cellular, two-way radio and hospital switchboard operations is highly valuable.
