Job Description
Lafayette College, an NCAA Division I institution (FCS football) with 23 sports and a charter member of the Patriot League (American, Army, Boston U., Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Loyola, Navy), seeks ambitious candidates for a position in its Athletic Communications Department. The successful candidate, a key member of the department, will assist the director of athletic communications with all aspects of a robust and progressive athletic communications strategy. To successfully accomplish the goals of this position, the assistant director of athletic communications will:
- Serve as the primary contact for women's basketball and several other sports to be determined by the strengths of the selected candidate relative to staff.
- Write press releases, game preview and recap stories, and feature articles.
- Produce website, print, and social media content.
- Travel with teams.
- May contribute in roles on project teams and working groups within the Communications Division and Athletic Department.
