Job Description

Communications & Marketing Manager Ablaze Ministries Bryan, TX Job Details Full-time $50,286.92 - $55,560.59 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health savings account 401(k) Paid time off Parental leave Referral program Qualifications Website management Canva Organizational skills Marketing analytics Digital design Full Job Description Ablaze Ministries is looking for a creative, organized, mission-driven Communications & Marketing Manager who loves good storytelling, great design, and finding the right way to get people excited about something that matters.
In simple terms:
we do a lot of really meaningful work, and we want someone who can help us tell that story well. This role will help shape how Ablaze looks, sounds, and communicates across social media, email, events, recruitment, print, and digital platforms. Some days that might mean building out an email campaign or designing graphics for an upcoming event. Other days it might mean helping tell the story of a young person whose life has been changed, promoting a new job opening, planning content for the month, or dreaming up a better way to introduce people to Ablaze. You'll have plenty of room to be creative, make the role your own, and grow with an organization that is entering an exciting season of expansion. About Ablaze Ablaze Ministries exists to transform the Church through mission to youth. We do that through three primary areas: Reach | Ablaze Youth Outreach We meet young people where they are, especially those who may otherwise remain on the margins, through outreach, mentorship, schools, and community-based ministry. Teach | Parish Missions We partner with Catholic parishes and schools through retreats, missionary teams, formation, and Christ-centered experiences that help young people encounter the Lord and strengthen parish and catholic school communities. Serve | Ablaze Connect We coach and equip parishes and ministry leaders with the training, curriculum, resources, and support they need to build thriving youth ministry in their own communities. Ablaze is growing, entering new communities, building new partnerships, and reaching more young people. We want our communications to grow with us. What You'll Do You'll take the lead on the everyday communications and marketing needs of Ablaze including all necessary travel while working closely with our leadership, development, HR, and ministry teams.
That will include things like:
Managing our social media presence and helping create a consistent, engaging content rhythm Creating graphics, digital content, print materials, presentations, and other branded pieces Writing and building email campaigns, newsletters, announcements, and other communications Helping keep the Ablaze brand consistent, recognizable, and fresh Developing marketing plans for events, retreats, dinners, campaigns, and other ministry initiatives Helping promote open positions, missionary opportunities, recruiting events, and career fairs Finding and telling great stories from across the organization through writing, photos, video, and other creative content Partnering with our Development team on donor communications and fundraising campaigns Helping leadership think strategically about where, when, and how Ablaze communicates Coordinating with photographers, videographers, printers, designers, and other outside partners when a project calls for additional help You will not be expected to personally be the world's best photographer, videographer, designer, writer, advertiser, event planner, and digital strategist. We are looking for someone who has a strong creative foundation, knows how to get things done, and is excited to keep learning along the way. You Might Be a Great Fit If You... Are a strong writer and natural storyteller Have experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a similar field Have graphic design experience and a good eye for what looks great Understand branding and how to keep an organization's voice and visuals consistent Have experience managing social media for an organization, business, or brand Are comfortable with email marketing and digital communications Can keep several projects moving without losing the details Enjoy both the creative side of marketing and the strategy behind it Are comfortable taking an idea and figuring out how to make it happen Work well with people and enjoy collaborating across different teams Bring personality, creativity, and a sense of humor to your work Are excited about the mission of Ablaze and the Catholic Church Even Better If You Know... These are great bonuses, but definitely not requirements: SEO Google Ads or Google Ad Grants Meta and other paid social advertising Photography or videography Video editing Website management Marketing analytics Fundraising or nonprofit communications (Canva and Lightroom would be great to know or have willingness to learn) Why Ablaze? Because you won't be stepping into a role where everything has already been figured out. You'll get to help shape what communications and marketing look like at Ablaze as we grow. There is real creative freedom here. You'll work directly with organizational leadership, have a voice in major initiatives, and get to see the things you create actually used in the real world, whether that is filling a room for an event, helping recruit a great new employee, introducing a donor to our mission, or telling a story that reminds people why this work matters. And for the right person, there is plenty of room for this position to grow in responsibility and leadership as Ablaze grows. If you love bringing ideas to life, care about doing excellent creative work, and want that work connected to a mission bigger than yourself, we'd really like to meet you.
