This role is essential in advancing the organization's fundraising, investor relations, marketing, and communications goals by ensuring operational efficiency, producing well‑organized materials, coordinating external engagement activities, and supporting digital and social media presence. The Associate works closely with the Vice President of External Relations and collaborates across departments to strengthen institutional relationships and elevate the organization's brand and impact in the community. Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative & Coordination Support
- Provide administrative support to the Vice President of External Relations, including calendar management, scheduling, meeting preparation, and drafting correspondence.
- Organize, track, and maintain files related to investor relations, fundraising, and communications activities, including agreements, reports, and compliance materials.
- Assist in preparing presentations, briefing documents, impact reports, and other materials for internal and external audiences.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, funder engagements, media interviews, and public appearances. Research & Information Management
- Conduct research on prospective funders, investors, and partners to support cultivation and pipeline strategies.
- Monitor trends in capital markets, philanthropy, and community development to support strategic planning and external relations initiatives.
- Compile background information for grant applications, investor updates, and external communications.
- Support data tracking for development activities, reporting deadlines, and performance metrics. Social Media & Communications Support
- Assist in implementing the organization's marketing and communications plan, ensuring alignment across channels and messaging platforms.
- Draft and schedule social media content to amplify visibility and engagement.
- Support content creation for newsletters, website materials, campaigns, storytelling initiatives, and multimedia projects.
- Track social media analytics and make recommendations based on engagement trends. Grant Writing & Development Support
- Assist in preparing components of grant applications, reports, and supporting materials.
- Support the development of the annual Development Plan by gathering data, drafting content, and maintaining tracking systems.
- Help manage deadlines, submissions, and reporting schedules for institutional funders. Stakeholder Engagement & Representation
- Provide support for outreach activities with media, donors, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Represent the External Relations team professionally in communications and at events as needed.
- Assist in coordinating responses to media inquiries and public requests for information. Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in administrative support, communications, research, fundraising, or social media management; nonprofit or CDFI experience a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, content creation tools, and basic analytics.
- Excellent organizational and project‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with diverse stakeholders.
