Remote (Greater Tucson Area) Preference will be given to candidates located in Benson, Willcox, Dragoon or the surrounding communities. Some local travel to company sites and community events will be required. Excelsior Mining Arizona Inc, dba Gunnison Copper is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing and Communications Intern to join our Investor Relations & Communications team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the communications strategy of a growing publicly traded mining company focused on advancing domestic U.S. copper production. Working with the Vice President, Investor Relations & Communications, the successful candidate will help develop internal and external communications materials, support corporate branding initiatives, assist with investor-facing content, and represent Gunnison Copper at local community and industry events. Summary The Communications & Investor Relations Intern will support a wide range of corporate communications and investor relations initiatives while helping ensure Gunnison Copper maintains a consistent and professional brand across all communications channels. This role is ideal for a student with an interest in communications, marketing, investor relations, capital markets and graphic design. Responsibilities Assist in the development of internal and external communications materials, including presentations, fact sheets, newsletters, videos and corporate collateral Create and update PowerPoint presentations for investors, management and corporate events Support the design and production of social media graphics and digital marketing materials Assist with website updates and content management Help coordinate corporate announcements, news releases and investor communications Monitor media coverage and assist with communications reporting Conduct research on industry trends, peers and capital markets developments Support conference, event and webinar planning Represent Gunnison Copper at select industry and community events as a professional brand ambassador Assist with other marketing, investor relations and communications projects as required Qualifications Currently enrolled in a program in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations or a related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong PowerPoint and presentation design skills Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and/or Illustrator) and/or Canva is considered an asset Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment Knowledge of the mining industry, investor relations or capital markets is considered an asset Professional, enthusiastic and comfortable representing the Company in public settings What You'll Gain Exposure to corporate communications and investor relations at a publicly traded mining company Experience creating communications for investors, analysts, government stakeholders and the media Opportunities to attend conferences, networking events and community engagement activities Mentorship from senior communications and investor relations professionals A flexible remote work environment with meaningful project ownership This position is considered "Safety Sensitive" for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act and the Arizona Drug Testing statutes
