Job Description

The Part-Time Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for building strong relationships between the store and the local community. This role focuses on increasing brand awareness, driving foot traffic, and supporting the store's mission of giving back—particularly through STEM education and literacy initiatives. This individual will serve as the face of the brand in the community, creating meaningful partnerships with schools, organizations, and local businesses while supporting in-store promotions and events. Key Responsibilities Community Partnerships & Outreach Develop and maintain partnerships with local schools, nonprofits, and community organizations Coordinate fundraising opportunities, sponsorships, and donation initiatives Represent the store at community events, fairs, and networking opportunities STEM & Literacy Initiative Support Help plan and execute community giveback programs tied to STEM education and literacy Collaborate with school leaders and youth organizations to create engagement opportunities Track and report impact of community initiatives Marketing & Brand Awareness Support local marketing campaigns to increase store visibility and traffic Manage grassroots marketing efforts (flyers, local promotions, partnerships) Assist with social media content creation and community storytelling Event Planning & Execution Plan and execute in-store and off-site events (grand openings, school nights, promotions) Coordinate logistics, staffing, and materials for events Ensure a high-quality customer and community experience Customer Engagement Build relationships with repeat customers and community stakeholders Promote a positive, welcoming brand image aligned with company values Gather feedback from the community to improve offerings and engagement Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (preferred) 1-3 years of experience in community engagement, marketing, or event coordination Strong communication and relationship-building skills Experience working with schools, youth programs, or nonprofits is a plus Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple initiatives

Part-Time Hours:
20-30 hours per week Performance Incentives $250 per secured school or community partnership Quarterly bonus tied to increased store traffic and engagement Growth Opportunity This role includes a clear pathway to full-time employment based on performance and business growth.
