About OffPlan OffPlan is a direct care platform launching in Florida and Virginia, built in partnership with independent, physician-owned primary care practices.
Our thesis is simple:
insurance is for emergencies, healthcare is for everyday life. Roughly 80% of what people actually need from the healthcare system, annual exams, sick visits, chronic disease management, care coordination, doesn't belong in an insurance claims process at all. OffPlan removes that 80% from the insurance system entirely through a straightforward membership: no claims, no prior authorizations, no deductibles, and same-day or next-day access to a physician who isn't managing a 2,500-patient panel. Insurance and stop-loss coverage stay in place for the true 10-15% that is genuinely catastrophic. We work with employers (self-funded, level-funded, and fully insured), benefits advisors and brokers, individual consumers through our direct-to-consumer channel, and physicians who want to practice medicine without an insurance company standing between them and their patients. We're an early-stage, founder-led company moving fast toward our Florida and Virginia launch, which means this role will have outsized influence over how OffPlan looks, sounds, and grows. The Role OffPlan is looking for a Social Media Manager to build our social presence essentially from zero, right as we head into launch in Florida and Virginia. This role is equal parts storyteller and educator: most people have never heard of direct primary care, don't know what "no prior authorizations" actually means for them, and have been trained by decades of insurance marketing to be skeptical of anything that sounds too simple. You'll be responsible for making OffPlan's model click for employers, brokers, physicians, individual consumers, and eventually members, one post, video, and comment thread at a time.
This is a hands-on role:
you'll be writing, shooting, editing, scheduling, and reporting on your own work, not just directing an agency.
