Our Community Advisory Board (CAB) brings together clients, families, advocates, and community partners to guide our work. We're looking for a skilled connector and facilitator to make sure their voices lead to real change. As CAB Liaison, you'll be the bridge between the board and CCBHC leadership. You'll run productive, welcoming meetings, turn community feedback into concrete improvements, and show the community how their input is making a difference. Key Responsibilities What you'll do Lead the CAB meeting cycle: build agendas, prepare materials, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
Turn feedback into action:
document CAB recommendations, route them to the right teams, and track progress through to measurable outcomes.
Keep leadership informed:
report on the status of recommendations and make sure CAB perspectives are part of strategic planning, service design, and evaluation. Build a strong, representative board: recruit, screen, and onboard new members, and keep current members engaged and informed.
Collaborate across the organization:
work with clinical, quality, and operations staff to answer CAB questions and follow up on priorities.
Keep good records:
maintain membership, attendance, recommendations, and outcomes to support audits, grant reporting, and quality monitoring.
Engage the wider community:
coordinate events, presentations, and public forums that build trust and visibility. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise What you bring 3+ years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder coordination, advocacy, behavioral health, or a related field Experience facilitating groups or coordinating advisory boards, coalitions, or similar bodies Experience tracking projects, documenting outcomes, and coordinating follow-up across teams Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with people from diverse backgrounds Confident facilitation that draws out different viewpoints and moves groups toward consensus Excellent organization and follow-through, even with competing deadlines Sound judgment with confidential and sensitive information A culturally and linguistically responsive approach to community engagement Job Benefits For Full-Time Employees Working 30-40 hours per week, EBCAP offers: Comprehensive medical and dental insurance plans (BCBSRI) with heavy subsidization Supplemental vision insurance Voluntary medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts Up to 3% matching 403(b) retirement plan Employer-paid life insurance Generous paid time off including vacation, holidays, personal days, and sick time Mileage reimbursement Tuition reimbursement Center-paid training/CEUs opportunities Employee assistance program About East Bay Community Action Program East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides high-quality, comprehensive, and accessible health and human services to people across eastern Rhode Island.
