Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest is seeking a dynamic and outgoing Community Engagement Specialist to grow membership and bring the Girl Scout experience to families across Odessa and the surrounding region. This position is a 36-hour per week role with a core schedule of Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM
  • 6:00 PM , though actual hours may vary based on program needs. What You'll Do
  • Lead inspiring recruitment efforts welcoming new girls, families, and volunteers.
  • Host energetic presentations, community events, and hands-on Girl Scout activities.
  • Build strong partnerships with schools and local organizations.
  • Convert interest into membership using proven engagement and sales techniques.
  • Support families through registration and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to grow membership and form new troops.
  • Represent the Girl Scout mission with positivity and professionalism. What You Bring
  • Passion for working with youth and strengthening communities.
  • Experience in recruitment, sales, outreach, or customer engagement (preferred).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Tech-savvy with Outlook, Word, Excel, CRM, and online systems.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the region.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
  • Ability to become a registered Girl Scout member (paid by council).
