Job Description

About this position:
General Responsibilities:
Manage and grow an assigned regional portfolio of current and prospective major donors, establishing individualized strategies, financial goals, and clear next actions for each relationship. Proactively prospect for and identify new major-gift opportunities through referrals, existing networks, donor research, events, churches, foundations, and other relationship channels; consistently build a pipeline of qualified prospects. Qualify prospective donors by assessing interest, alignment, engagement, giving history, and capacity, and prioritize time and activity toward relationships with the greatest potential for significant partnership. Initiate contact and secure face-to-face or virtual meetings with donors and prospects; maintain a disciplined cadence of calls, meetings, follow-up, and personalized outreach designed to move relationships forward. Develop a deep understanding of each donor's motivations, interests, ministry passions, and financial priorities, and connect those interests to specific e3 and I Am Second opportunities for meaningful investment. Confidently present funding opportunities and make direct financial asks for significant gifts, multi-year commitments, and strategic investments, in coordination with the VP of Development and organizational priorities. Strategically involve the CEO, VP of Development, and other senior leaders when their participation can strengthen a relationship, advance a solicitation, or help close a significant gift; prepare leaders with appropriate donor background, strategy, and desired outcomes before meetings. Own follow-through after leadership and donor meetings, including documenting commitments, coordinating next steps, providing requested information, and maintaining momentum toward a decision or gift. Develop and execute personalized cultivation and solicitation plans that may include ministry updates, leadership meetings, vision gatherings, field experiences, special events, proposals, and other engagement opportunities. Provide thoughtful stewardship after gifts are received, including gratitude, impact reporting, prayer and personal follow-up, and continued engagement designed to strengthen retention, deepen partnership, and identify future giving opportunities. Maintain accurate and current donor and prospect records in Salesforce or the designated CRM, documenting interactions, relationship stage, giving activity, next actions, opportunities, and relevant information; use the CRM actively to manage pipeline and accountability. Partner closely with the VP of Development, CEO, Development team, Communications, and ministry leaders to align donor strategy, develop compelling cases for support, communicate ministry impact, and advance organizational fundraising priorities.
Ministry Responsibilities:
Interact with others as an ambassador of faith. Perform duties according to the Word of God and Biblical standards as drawn from the Holy Scripture. Serve as a messenger or teacher of faith according to e3 Doctrinal statements and beliefs. Assist others to cultivate intimacy with God and growth in Christ-like character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines.
