Marketing and Engagement Lead Blue Zones LLC Tyler, TX Job Details Full-time $62,000 - $75,000 a year 15 hours ago Qualifications Employee relationship building Driver's License Special events experience Newsletters (communication methods) Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description Position Summary The Marketing and Engagement Lead is responsible for the successful advancement of Blue Zones Project within the people sector. This person will manage event planning, design, and production within time and budget limits. This person will develop strategies to maximize the participation and engagement of individuals and partner organizations in Blue Zones Project events and activities while representing stakeholder brands in a positive light. This person will also be responsible for all marketing, both digital and print. This role is responsible for leading partnerships with volunteer organizations and overseeing volunteer recruitment and training. Essential Functions Works with the local Blue Zones Project team, community leaders, media and other partners to create and implement a successful engagement plan in the community. Leads and manages local marketing, advertising/earned media, public relations, social media and production activities and tasks related to the implementation of the community marketing plan. Creates communitybased grassroots strategies and coordinates delivery of supporting materials. Plan, create, and deploy social media strategy, email newsletters, and other digital communications to drive community engagement and measurable results. Organizes and manages community events including engaging and managing community volunteers. Writes promotional pieces using standard templates, including drafting and sending partner newsletters and direct mail (email and snail mail). Collaborates with Blue Zones Project National Team on Blue Zones related social media. Adheres to Blue Zones Project branding guidelines and standards. Collaborates and shares best practices with other PR, marketing, and engagement professionals across the Blue Zones Project network. Develops and meets monthly targets to ultimately achieve annual community blueprint people/engagement metrics. Gathers, analyzes, and translates data, outcomes, and individual stories into compelling marketing collateral that drives participation in Blue Zones Project initiatives. Specific Skills / Attributes Energized by the Blue Zones mission to empower everyone, everywhere to live better, longer. Strong relationship building skills; capable of working with internal and external teams and partners. Demonstrated digital marketing experience, including social media, producing content, and maintaining a website. Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office and other business applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills and a compelling voice that inspires citizens to engage in Blue Zones Project initiatives through newsletters, web content, event postings, blogging, Facebook, Twitter posts, YouTube, etc. Demonstrates initiative and mature judgment. Must be flexible and able to multitask. Demonstrates good organizational skills and manages time and priorities to meet deadlines. Experience with photography, videography, and/or video editing is a plus. Ability to work in a fastpaced environment but remain appropriately detailoriented. Experience working in multidisciplinary, multicultural, and multisectoral partnerships. Creative, inspiring, influencing, collaborative, and responsible. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. 3 years of experience in organizing and managing community events. 3 years of public relations or marketing experience. Resident of the local project community and/or deep local knowledge and engagement with the local community. Ability to work onsite in the local project office. Available to work weekends, early mornings and evenings as needed for events and community activities Valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance.
