Job Description

Strategic internal communications leader responsible for connecting initiatives across the organization into a cohesive, visible communications strategy — balancing strategic direction with hands-on execution that drives clarity, activation, and engagement among CGI U.S.-based professionals.
OVERVIEW
The Internal Communications Director is the senior internal communications leader for the U.S. Commercial and State and Local Government Strategic Business Unit (SBU), responsible for ensuring cohesive, visible, and effective communications that engage CGI professionals and managers. This role connects initiatives across the organization into a clear and coordinated narrative, aligning Global direction, U.S. strategy and priorities, HR and Corporate Services initiatives, and regional Business Unit inputs into messaging that drives understanding, activation, and pride. Serving as both strategist and hands-on leader, the Director brings structure, quality, and clarity to internal communications while fostering strong cross-functional collaboration. The role requires executive presence, business acumen, and the ability to translate complexity into actionable and compelling communications across a variety of channels — while also rolling up their sleeves to ensure speed, accuracy, and execution excellence. This position will be based in our Fairfax, VA office. CGI utilizes a hybrid model and partners should be prepared to work in a local CGI office, as needed.
