Job Description

Latinas Leading Tomorrow (LLT) empowers first-generation and low-income Latina middle and high school students through culturally responsive leadership, STEM, and college readiness programs offered at no cost to participants. With programming across Arlington, VA and Prince George's County, MD, LLT is committed to increasing access to opportunity and building the next generation of Latina leaders. The Social Media & Student Engagement VISTA will support LLT's growth by building and strengthening outreach, marketing, and engagement systems that connect students and families to life-changing programs. This role focuses on developing a strategic and sustainable approach to social media, storytelling, and community engagement. The VISTA member will create and implement a content strategy that highlights student success stories, promotes programs such as CORE, STEMpower, and ELITE, and elevates LLT's visibility among students, families, and community partners. In addition, they will design systems to improve communication and engagement, including newsletters, digital campaigns, and tools that support student recruitment and retention. This role will also contribute to building LLT's sponsorship and partnership pipeline by developing outreach materials and supporting engagement with corporate and community partners. The VISTA member will track engagement metrics and help translate insights into strategies that strengthen impact and sustainability. By the end of the service term, the VISTA will have developed scalable marketing and engagement systems that expand LLT's reach, deepen community connections, and ensure more Latina students can access transformative opportunities. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about storytelling, community building, and advancing educational equity.
Member Duties :
Objective 1: Work with LLT leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive social media and marketing strategy aligned with LLT's program goals to increase awareness, student recruitment, and community engagement. Objective 2: Strengthen student and family engagement systems by creating scalable outreach and communication processes that improve participation and retention across LLT programs Objective 3: Develop and implement a sponsorship and partnership engagement system to support program sustainability and expand resources for student programming.
