Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Relations Director to lead community engagement efforts and the raising of census at our large assisted living community. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary liaison between the community, residents, families, local organizations, and media outlets at Maplewood Gardens. Your energetic approach will foster meaningful relationships, enhance community visibility, and promote a vibrant, welcoming environment. You will develop and implement strategic outreach initiatives that highlight our commitment to quality care and community involvement, ensuring our community remains a trusted and integral part of the local area. Duties Cultivate and manage media relations by engaging with local press, coordinating press releases, and securing positive media coverage to elevate community profile Plan and deliver public speaking engagements, presentations, and community events to promote awareness and foster relationships with residents and stakeholders Oversee community outreach programs including volunteer initiatives, partnerships with local organizations, and social media marketing campaigns to boost engagement Develop comprehensive marketing strategies utilizing digital platforms and traditional channels to attract prospective residents and their families Manage social media accounts by creating engaging content, responding to inquiries, and tracking engagement metrics for continuous improvement Coordinate public relations efforts by preparing press materials, managing community events, and maintaining positive relationships with media outlets Collect data on outreach activities to evaluate effectiveness, inform future strategies, and support fundraising or sponsorship opportunities Requirements An understanding of Medicaid and other state DSHS coverages Ability to conduct tours Proven experience in community engagement or public relations within senior living or healthcare settings preferred Strong media relations skills with the ability to build relationships with journalists and community leaders Excellent public speaking and presentation skills for diverse audiences Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and communication purposes Experience in social media management and social media marketing strategies Exceptional communication skills with the ability to write compelling content for various platforms Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within budget constraints Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse communities Demonstrated experience in volunteer management, fundraising efforts, or strategic planning is desirable Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and external partners Join us as a Community Relations Director where your enthusiasm will inspire connections that enrich lives!
