Family Promise of Spokane is seeking a relational, mission-driven Development Manager to lead and grow our fundraising efforts while managing and developing a high-performing team. About the Role The Development Manager is a key leader on our Development team, responsible for managing, executing, and stewarding the day-to-day work of fundraising efforts. This role partners closely with the Director of Development while directly managing team members and building strong relationships with donors, volunteers, corporate partners, and community stakeholders. You'll bring both relational warmth and operational discipline , helping to grow a culture of philanthropy across Spokane while ensuring strong execution across annual giving, events, donor stewardship, grants support, and communications. What You'll Do Lead & Develop a Team Directly manage and coach Development team members Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture Provide clear expectations, accountability, and growth opportunities Build & Strengthen Community Relationships Serve as a primary relationship manager for donors, volunteers, and partners Engage with corporate partners, faith communities, and local leaders Represent Family Promise at community events across Spokane Drive Fundraising & Engagement Execute annual giving campaigns, events, and donor communications Manage donor stewardship, acknowledgment, and engagement strategies Support major donor efforts and sponsorship development Ensure Strong Operations Oversee CRM data integrity and reporting Support grant processes and cross-functional collaboration Track performance metrics and identify opportunities for growth
What You Bring Required:
3+ years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience Proven experience managing or leading a team Strong relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders Excellent communication and storytelling ability Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, Bloomerang, Little Green Light, etc.) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Connection to Spokane or ability to quickly build local relationships
Preferred:
