As the Marketing Outreach Specialist, will be responsible for growing awareness, engagement, and participation across YMCA Outreach programs, including Before & After School Care, Early Learning Centers, and the Center for Community Impact. If hired for this position, you will work closely with the External Communications Manager and Outreach leadership, to plan and execute strategic marketing campaigns, create engaging content, and build community partnerships.
Compensation:
$26.00 to $28.00 per hour ( Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range ) Position type: Full-Time, Hybrid position.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
Support Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by tracking proposal timelines and executing on light graphic or copy support. Strategic support will be provided by the External Communications Manager. Support annual fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, and community engagement efforts benefiting Outreach programs. Complete other online and in-person training as required. Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act). Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment. Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with the External Communications Manager and Outreach leadership to develop and execute marketing strategies that increase awareness, enrollment, and participation. Develop and maintain a proactive marketing calendar for Outreach programs and campaigns. Identify and expand marketing opportunities through schools, community organizations, local businesses, and other neighborhood channels. Conduct periodic site audits to identify opportunities to enhance program visibility. Create, write, and edit engaging content for social media, email, blogs, webpages, and other communication channels. Design and update marketing materials using Canva, Marq, and other approved platforms. Capture and share compelling stories that highlight the YMCA's community impact. Partner with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver high-quality, brand-compliant marketing materials. Support the transition from reactive marketing requests to proactive campaign planning. Assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by tracking timelines and providing copy and graphic support.
