Another day you may be supporting a fun respite event at our iEmbrace Recreation Center or assisting participants in a rehabilitation setting. What You'll Do As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will: Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based activities. Assist with respite events and recreational programs at the iEmbrace Recreation Center. Provide support in rehabilitation facilities when assigned. Encourage independence while helping individuals achieve their personal goals. Create a fun, positive, and safe environment for participants. Communicate professionally with coworkers, families, and other professionals. Document services accurately and on time. Follow individualized support plans and agency procedures. Represent iEmbrace with professionalism and compassion in the community. We're Looking for Someone Who... Has a genuine heart for helping others. Is dependable, compassionate, and patient. Enjoys staying active and being on their feet during busy events and community outings. Is equally comfortable during quieter activities or slower-paced environments. Has excellent organization, scheduling, and time management skills. Can adapt quickly as plans or participant needs change. Works well independently and as part of a team. Maintains a positive attitude and professional communication. Is reliable and punctual. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older . Must successfully pass a criminal background check. Must follow all iEmbrace policies, procedures, and training requirements. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to safely assist participants throughout community activities. Ability to use basic technology for documentation and communication. Physical Requirements This position requires someone who can: Walk, stand, and remain active for extended periods. Participate in community outings and recreational activities. Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. PM Saturday & Sunday:
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Applicants must be available to: Work at least one evening each week until 7:00 PM (although shifts typically end by 6:00 PM).
