Summary:
The Gifted and Talented community Liaison is tasked with connecting with families and facilitating their learning regarding learning opportunities and resources.
Responsibilities:
Connect with families and children, especially our families from underserved populations, who have been referred to the BVSD GT program. Facilitate family engagement opportunities to learn about gifted resources available within BVSD. Assist families in accessing community resources such as enrichment summer programs, after school enrichment events and other activities offered in the community by universities and non-profit organizations. Support the distribution of GT newsletters and provide articles in Spanish to be included in this publication. Assist families in communicating with the GT advisors at their school regarding advanced learning plans. Sharing available resources specific to family and community needs and providing follow up to identified needs. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent Completed and submitted BVSD online application. Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.
Preferred:
Bilingual/biliterate English and Spanish Bachelors degree in education, counseling, social work or related field
Salary Information:
Salary Placement varies according to eperience and education. Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (eisting employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule ) . BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process. This information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including eperience and education. All salaries are set by Human Resources based on a review of qualifications compared to the requirements on the job description; therefore listing all related education and eperience on your application is recommended.
