Primary Purpose:

This position plays an integral role in executing marketing and communications strategies, maintaining the Museum's public presence, and ensuring consistent messaging across digital and print platforms.

Essential Job Functions:

Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across the Museum's social media platforms while maintaining brand consistency. Develop graphics and other digital assets for social media. Prepare press kits, media materials, presentation decks, and other communications collateral. Coordinate event listings and calendar submissions across print and online publications. Collaborate with departments throughout the Museum to gather information, promote exhibitions, programs, educational initiatives, and special events. Ensure all communications materials are accurate, timely, and aligned with the Museum's brand standards. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Development of a strategic weekly content plan aligned with exhibitions, events, media posts per month.

Job Requirements:

Communication and writing skills as well as knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube among others required. Must be able to follow instruction.

Bachelor's Degree Major (if required: Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience.

Required Experience:

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms for an organization or brand. Experience creating digital presentations and marketing materials.
