Onsite Position The preferred location for this position is onsite in Moline, IL or Urbandale, IA. At the discretion of the hiring manager, the role may be based at another US John Deere facility. Your Responsibilities As a Communication Specialist for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group located in or Moline, IL or Urbandale, IA , you will: Develop and execute communication strategies supporting Enterprise Manufacturing Technologies priorities and initiatives Create and deliver engaging content across internal communication channels, including SharePoint, Viva Engage, Teams, email, town halls, and leadership presentations Translate complex manufacturing technology topics into clear, actionable communications for diverse audiences Partner with leaders, product teams, HR, and communications stakeholders to drive consistent messaging and employee engagement Support organizational communications, events, recognition programs, and change initiatives while ensuring alignment with Deere brand and communication standards VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position What Skills You Need 2+ years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, change management, or a related field Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences Proven ability to simplify complex technical or business concepts into clear communications Experience managing multiple communication projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and communication platforms, including SharePoint and Teams What Makes You Stand Out Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, technology, operations, or digital transformation organizations Familiarity with manufacturing technologies, automation, AI, data analytics, SAP, or operational technology concepts Experience with executive communications, change management, and technology adoption initiatives Experience creating multimedia content, including presentations, videos, podcasts, or digital campaigns Ability to use communication metrics and stakeholder feedback to improve communication effectiveness Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Communications, Organizational Communications, English, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered where appropriate Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, Business, or a related field.
