Job Skills / Requirements School Communications and Operations Support Specialist working in the Security Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) Schedule and Pay Monday-Friday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM $20.00 per hour Variable-hour position (weekly hours may fluctuate based on operational needs) Requirements Have a high school diploma or GED At least 21 years of age Valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) 20-hour security training certification Pass any background screening requirements What the Job Involves This role combines: Communications coordination Administrative support Emergency operations support Documentation and reporting Dispatch-style coordination You would likely spend much of your day: Monitoring communications systems Answering and directing calls Documenting incidents and operational activities Maintaining records and spreadsheets Coordinating resources during school-related incidents Supporting emergency response communications Working closely with school administrators, security staff, and first responders Key Qualifications Employers Are Looking For The strongest candidates will have: Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Workspace) Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to stay calm under pressure Customer service experience Administrative, dispatch, call center, or operations experience Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability Equal Opportunity Employer IL #122-001049 , #123.000460 Education Requirements (All) HS Diploma GED or H.S.
