Job Description

The Southwind Extension District is seeking to hire a full-time Office Professional with an emphasis in communications, social media content creation and general clerical skills for the Fort Scott office. The District Office Professional is the first point of contact for the public visiting our offices and is expected to deliver excellent customer service to all extension program users. Under general supervision, this position provides support to the staff housed in the Fort Scott office while greeting and communicating with the public, face to face, via the phone or by other electronic communication methods. This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of clerical duties and performs other duties as assigned and will work with and support their fellow office professionals in the District as needed.
Responsibilities:
Communications and Content Creation - 25% - Coordinate creation of monthly 4-H newsletter; social media content; quarterly reports.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service/Clerical - 75% - Greet the public, answer telephone calls using a multi-line system, answer questions regarding information related to extension programs and events held locally. •Please note - health insurance is NOT provided with this position.
