Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Communication Specialist will primarily focus on creating internal communications content. This position requires a talented storyteller who can help CHC/SEK "tell its story" and connect the brand and services to our employees. As part of the marketing strategy, this position will develop a variety of content—written, video, images, and social media—to engage employees and community members. While the primary responsibility is internal communications, the role will occasionally collaborate with the Manager of Marketing and Communication on external campaigns. Requirements Essential Duties Collaborates with internal CHC/SEK departments, such as Human Resources, Compliance, and Quality, to identify human interest stories that highlight employees serving the CHC mission and showcase patient success stories. Develops effective and engaging internal communications that promote employee engagement, foster transparent communication, and utilize various communication channels such as internal newsletters. Monitors employee engagement with the content distributed via email marketing systems, and reports engagement metrics to the Manager of Marketing and Communications. Works with the Manager of Marketing to create and identify strategies that promote CHC/SEK staff education and quality initiatives to employees. Showcases employees and their contributions through engaging articles and employee spotlight videos. Identifies staff stories that would make great feature stories for media outlets, helping to promote CHC/SEK's mission and the achievements of its employees. Creates marketing materials for clinics and service lines, including print materials and social media posts. Leads reputation management efforts for CHC/SEK by tracking reviews, emails, and social media messages, and creating monthly reports for the President & Chief Strategy Officer and Patient Engagement Committee. Serves as the backup for social media and website management, ensuring timely updates and engaging content. Assist Human Resources with employee engagement activities as assigned.
