Title:
Communications/Volunteer Coordinator Duties/Responsibilities:
Planning and conducting community meetings/community events in collaboration with Executive Director and management team, fundraising assigned duties/i.e. Shop and Share, Lobster Fest, Cornerstone Awards and as assigned, plan and provide children's and women's special events, working with child advocates/staff; and other duties as needed and assigned by the Executive Director, Assistant Director and/or Director of Grants and Finance. This position will help and assist with all children, family and individuals who are victims as needed. This position will work closely with especially the Children's Advocates to build and provide strong resources in shelter and in our outreach areas. This position may supervise and coordinate with VISTA and AmeriCorps volunteers. This position will provide direct services to clients using Trauma Informed Care principles. The coordinator of volunteer development, and training /scheduling volunteer, will assist with clients and provide hands-on assistance for services with clients. Volunteer recruitment/organization/training/record-keeping, mailings, thank-you acknowledgements for volunteers and donors and all duties and responsibilities pertaining to volunteers. Duties include all print/social media/publicity/and communications for the Safe Harbor program. Maintain a stock inventory log to know what Safe Harbor needs are. Documenting and tracking donations of cash and in-kind.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
