The Communications Specialist will be responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining structured network cabling systems including CAT5, CAT6, and CAT6A infrastructure. The role involves field-based work across multiple locations, ensuring reliable communication infrastructure support and maintenance.Requirement/Must Have:
Experience in installation, testing, troubleshooting, termination, and repair of CAT5, CAT6, and CAT6A network cables. Strong understanding of structured cabling and network infrastructure environments. Ability to work independently in field-based environments. Willingness to travel extensively across multiple locations. Valid driver s license required.Experience:
Experience working in structured cabling or network communications environments. Experience in field-based installation and maintenance activities. Experience handling troubleshooting and repair of network cabling systems. Experience working in travel-intensive roles.Should Have:
Fiber optics experience preferred but not mandatory. Experience working in large-scale field deployment environments.Responsibilities:
Install, test, troubleshoot, terminate, and repair CAT5, CAT6, and CAT6A network cables. Maintain structured cabling systems and ensure proper connectivity. Perform field-based communication infrastructure support across multiple locations. Travel daily across assigned regions as required. Support infrastructure deployment and maintenance activities in onsite environments. Ensure compliance with safety and installation standards during field operations.Skills:
Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems and network infrastructure. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in field environments. Strong communication and coordination skills.Qualification And Education:
