ABOUT YOU

As a Communications Specialist (Bargaining Unit, Local Union No. 25), you thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments where safety and operational continuity are paramount. You stay calm under pressure, make quick and sound decisions, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders. Your ability to multitask, maintain situational awareness, and adapt to changing conditions ensures accuracy and compliance at all times. With strong attention to detail, integrity, and a collaborative mindset, you keep operations running smoothly while responding effectively to both routine and emergency situations.

What you will do:

Manage critical communications and dispatch resources for routine and emergency situations, ensuring timely and accurate response across Massport properties. Oversee gate and aircraft parking plans, monitor systems for compliance, and maintain accurate records to support safe and efficient airport operations. Coordinate with FAA, Massport Operations, and partner agencies to issue reports, communicate field conditions, and address operational or safety concerns. Monitor security systems, respond to alarms, and maintain compliance with TSA and Massport protocols while supporting emergency response and training new team members.

What you offer:

Must meet one of three eligibility paths (please see detailed job description below) Bachelors Degree and related aviation work experience. Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management and related aviation work experience. Public Safety Dispatcher Certification and related experience. Possess strong technical and communication skills. Ability to qualify in four separate areas: Card Access; Gate Control; Operations; and Fire Alarm dispatch.
