Job Description
Job Summary The New London Police Department has an immediate opening for a full-time Communications Specialist. Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess excellent typing skills, oral and written communication skills, understanding of various computer applications, be able to work in a fast-paced, high stress environment, remain calm during emergency situations, and be able to multitask. Communications Specialists work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, dispatching and relaying information to Police, Fire & Medical personnel for emergency & non-emergency situations.
