Client Communications & Office Coordinator The Distracted Dog — Peoria, ILPart-Time / Full-Time$19-$22 per hour + performance-based bonuses About the Position The Distracted Dog is looking for a confident, personable, and highly organized Client Communications & Office Coordinator to join our growing team. This position is a combination of client communication, lead follow-up, scheduling, office organization, and event coordination . A major part of the role will involve communicating with potential and current clients by phone and text, so we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys talking with people and is comfortable taking the lead in conversations. This is not a traditional sales position , and you will not be expected to pressure people into purchasing dog training. However, strong communication, inside-sales, appointment-setting, or customer-service experience is a major plus. You should be comfortable building rapport, answering questions, addressing concerns or objections, following up consistently, and helping qualified potential clients take the next step of scheduling an evaluation. No dog training experience is required. We can teach you our programs and processes. We are much more interested in finding someone who is excellent with people, dependable, organized, and confident on the phone. What You'll Be Doing Your responsibilities will include: Answering incoming phone calls and responding to potential clients Returning missed calls, texts, and inquiries in a timely manner Following up with new leads who have expressed interest in our training programs Building rapport with potential clients and learning about their dog, goals, and concerns Helping qualified leads schedule evaluations Following up with scheduled evaluations when needed Communicating with current clients regarding scheduling, appointments, and general questions Maintaining organized client records and paperwork Assisting with scheduling and general office organization Helping keep administrative systems and documents organized Assisting with planning and coordinating company events Communicating with vendors and other businesses for events when necessary Helping with miscellaneous administrative projects as they arise Working with the training and management team to make sure clients receive clear and consistent communication Schedule & Remote Work This position is expected to include approximately 20 hours per week scheduled in our Peoria office . Additional paid hours may be completed remotely and can include: Answering and returning client calls Responding to client communication Lead follow-up Scheduling Administrative projects Event coordination and planning Because potential clients may call outside of normal office hours, flexibility with phone communication is important for this position . We are looking for someone who can help us maintain strong phone responsiveness even when they are not physically in the office. Weekly hours may vary depending on call volume, workload, events, and the needs of the business. There is opportunity for this position to grow as the company continues to grow. We are willing to train the right person if they have the communication skills, personality, organization, and work ethic we're looking for. Compensation $19-$22/hour , depending on experience and qualifications. This position will also have the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses . Bonuses may be tied to measurable areas such as: Lead follow-up Evaluation scheduling Evaluation attendance/show rates Phone responsiveness Overall client communication performance These bonuses are intended to reward strong communication, consistency, and follow-through rather than create a high-pressure commission-based sales environment.
