Summary:

The Communications Specialist is responsible for delivering superior customer service and communication to clients, patients, staff, and referring veterinarians. This role requires excellent judgment and decision-making skills in triaging client calls, scheduling appointments with clinical specialists, and determining appropriate actions. Responsibilities:

Schedule appointments for various Specialty Services using the Cornerstone system Triage urgent calls efficiently and effectively Process referral calls from outside veterinarians and clients Answer phones and direct calls appropriately Respond to internal and external clients in a respectful, friendly, and thorough manner Provide clients with status updates and patient information Maintain a detailed-oriented approach while multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred Minimum 1-2 years of veterinary medical office experience is required Proficient in computer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Cornerstone EMR system, Alcatel-Lucent Phone system Speed typing skills of 40+ wpm required Ability to provide consistent and exceptional customer service Pleasant speaking voice Articulate, dependable, hardworking, compassionate, and flexible with scheduling Proven experience in a detail-oriented environment

Schedule/Shift:

Sun day 8am-4pm Mon and Tues10am-6pm Friday and Saturday 12pm-8pm Days off are

Wednesday and Thursday Location:
