Job Description

Job Summary Comprehensive Therapy Group is seeking Communication Specialists to assess the ways in which individuals communicate, write communication action plans for staff/families to follow, create communication tools and tips sheets, make recommendations, updates, or additions if a communication device is already in use, offer ongoing supports to navigate challenges, and train team members.
Responsibilities:
Complete assessments, develop communication action plans with interventions using creativity and best practices. Train staff on how to implement the CAP and work directly with the individual to enhance communication with staff, family, and community members. Manage caseload and schedule according to frequency listed in the ISP. Experience Bachelor's degree required in communication disorders, speech and language pathology, special education, or similar degree program. Experience in assistive technology, communication disorders, sign language, education of deaf students, or similar required. Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders required.
Pay:
From $35.00 per hour
