The Integrated PR Specialist will develop and execute all aspects of public relations and communications campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role is responsible for executing campaigns and securing earned media opportunities across traditional, digital and emerging platforms. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with natural follow-through. They are a strong writer with experience securing media coverage, developing thought leadership content and identifying timely story opportunities. They should be comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams including digital marketing, social media, SEO and creative to support broader client goals. Job Responsibilities Execute and refine customized public relations campaigns to accomplish client objectives Support executive visibility strategies through thought leadership development, speaking opportunities, award submissions, podcast outreach and personal LinkedIn brand positioning Create and regularly update targeted media lists for a range of industries, identifying key contacts and outlets to meet specific campaign goals Engage and build relationships with journalists, creators, newsletter authors, podcast hosts and digital influencers across traditional and emerging media channels Schedule and coordinate media interviews for clients Provide media training and interview preparation for clients Develop reports and analyze campaign performance using modern PR metrics including audience reach, sentiment, engagement, backlinks, share of voice and business impact indicators. Write clearly and concisely on a range of complex, research-based topics for a variety of industries, audiences, and platforms (i.e. press releases, pitches, thought leadership articles, media alerts, op-eds, bios, media kits, award submissions, etc.) Collaborate with cross-functional teams including digital marketing, content, social media and creative, to align earned media strategies with broader campaign objectives Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in public relations in order to provide thought leadership and drive innovation Qualifications 3 to 5+ years' experience working in public relations or adjacent role Bachelor's degree in public relations, mass communications, marketing, or a related field Advanced knowledge of public relations and marketing principles, including an understanding of crisis communications, media relations, social media, influencer marketing and content marketing Proven track record of developing and executing successful public relations campaigns Familiarity with AI best practices and using AI for tasks such as media research, pitch personalization, campaign ideation and competitive scanning Familiarity with media relations software such as MuckRack A strong sense of accountability and a proactive mindset in owning and delivering on assigned responsibilities is essential for success in this role Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead client meetings effectively and speak directly to the media Ability to identify problems and solve them quickly and efficiently Upbeat, team-oriented attitude toward team members and clients with a desire to work in a collaborative and inclusive team environment Candidates must be located within the St. Louis or Chicago area and will be required to work from the St. Louis office and attend in-person meetings periodically based on client and team needs.
