LMD is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to support communications initiatives for a federal client. This position will work as part of an integrated communications team to develop and execute strategic communications that engage diverse stakeholder audiences and support high-visibility programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator who can translate complex information into clear, audience-focused content, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the development and execution of strategic communications plans, campaigns, and initiatives. Draft and edit communications materials for a variety of audiences and channels, including web, social media, presentations, talking points, fact sheets, and other public-facing content. Support communications associated with program and product launches, stakeholder engagement activities, campaigns, and events. Coordinate with client stakeholders and project team members to ensure communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with strategic objectives. Support the management and updating of digital and web content. Track communications activities, milestones, and deliverables and contribute to regular client reporting. Assist with stakeholder outreach and engagement activities. Manage multiple communications assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced federal environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience, including experience: Supporting the planning and development of strategic communications or public relations campaigns. Developing communications materials for multiple audiences and channels. Working collaboratively with clients and project teams. Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible communications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience supporting federal government communications is preferred. Experience with web content management systems is preferred. Must currently hold, or be able to obtain, the required federal suitability/fitness determination.
JOB LOCATION
This position is hybrid and may require on-site work in the Arlington, VA Area.
