https://tinyurl.com/52hpmydm Acceptional Minds is currently seeking full-time, part-time, and on-call candidates who are willing to work in our Youth and Self-Determination programs (Teen and Young Adults). Employees will be scheduled within our service hours based on client needs. Our School-Year programming is 7am-7pm M-F and 10-5 on Saturdays and our summer program hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday. Must be willing to work one Saturday a month during the school year and be available to complete specialist and all required trainings. Our Full-time staff get a built in Mental Health Day every other week! On Call staff must pick up one shift a week.Our Programming:
Alternative School Placement Program - Acceptional Academy Program runs 7am-3:30pm M-F during the school year- Help students whose behaviors are inhibiting their ability to get a quality education in a traditional setting
- Build executive functioning, social, emotional, and self-regulation skills Center Based After School/Non-School Day/Summer Program Program runs 3pm-7pm M-F and 10-5pm on Saturday during the school year Program runs 8am-5pm in the summer
- Large and Small Motor Activities
- Structured Games, Arts, and Crafts
- Large and Small Group Activities
- Chores Self-Determination Program (Teen & Young Adults)
- Support graduates of our skill-building and school program transition into adulthood
- Support the growth of life and daily living skills
- Exploration of Vocational and Continued Educational Opportunities
- This is a new and growing program
Candidate Requirements & Preferences:
- Must be over 18
- Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance and be willing to use personal vehicle to transport clients as needed.
- Must demonstrate a calm, kind, and open demeanor
- Previous experience working in a school setting or working with kids with special needs and behavior self-regulation challenges
- Acceptional Minds considers lived/personal experience and qualified previous experience and candidates who meet this criteria are encouraged to apply
- CPR, AED, and First Aid training is preferred, but will be provided upon hire if needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to safely perform a restraint under the training and guidance of Handle with Care training
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to kneel, sit, stand, crawl, push, and pull to assist children throughout the day.
- Must be able to lift to 10lbs routinely and up to 50lbs occasionally Starting pay is $16.
