JOB TITLE
Marketing Communications Intern
JOB PURPOSE
The University of Wyoming College of Engineering and Physical Sciences marketing and communications intern will create visual and written content for marketing and communications activities by working with the University of Wyoming College of Engineering and Physical Sciences marketing and communications specialist and college staff, faculty, administrators, and students. Opportunities available to work on projects including social media, news releases, newsletters, publications, advertisements, promotional material and web content. This intern should be able to work independently but maintain active communications with our team, while always conducting themselves in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work collaboratively with UW College of Engineering and Physical Sciences marketing and communications specialist on the college's content needs Assist with proofing/editing as requested Connect and interview college staff, faculty, administrators, and students as needed for writing and social media assignments Apply feedback and edits from UW College of Engineering and Physical Sciences marketing and communications specialist to improve the final work Meet deadlines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
HS Diploma or equivalent
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Apply UW Style Manual and AP Style Guide to written content Good communication through email Attend weekly or bi-weekly meetings Ability to write on a variety of subjects for many different distribution channels Experience with graphic design and video editing software a plus
